Restoring Hope Community Church is the culmination of a merger between two vibrant congregations, blending their histories and strengths into a unified mission.

History of Hope Community Church (HCC):

Founded in 2003, by Pastor Brian Shaw, Hope Community Church began with a profound dedication to serving families in Surprise and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Initially meeting in a local school, the church moved into its own building in 2005. Since then, HCC has faithfully nurtured all who enter its doors with love and the Word of God, guided by a global and eternal perspective in its mission.

History of Restoration Nazarene Church (RNAZ):

Founded in 2020 by Pastor Cody Abrahamson amidst the challenges of COVID-19, Restoration Nazarene Church also began its journey in a school environment. Focused on supporting and guiding young families, RNAZ grew with a foundation deeply rooted in prayer, teaching, and discipleship.

The Merger:

In January 2024, through fervent prayer and discernment, these two congregations came together to form Restoring Hope Community Church. This union has synergized their energies and resources, enriching the ministry with a diverse spectrum of gifts and talents. Today, Restoring Hope is led jointly by Pastor Brian Shaw and Pastor Cody Abrahamson, blending their leadership and vision to guide the church forward in faith and community impact.
